Core Diagnostics has appointed Neil Hilton as Technical Sales Director as it sets its sights on being the UK’s leading provider of remote support services.

Core Diagnostics’ comprehensive cloud-based solution for programming and coding of new parts assists technicians with thousands of repair challenges each month, as well as providing remote support with ADAS calibrations.

With no waiting times and high success rates, Core Diagnostics has built a loyal customer base of accident repair centres, nationwide glass companies and general workshops, as well as providing a ‘white label’ support service to a number of well-known diagnostic brands who have recently launched remote services in the UK and Europe.

ADAS calibration is accounting for an increasing number of the job tickets that Core Diagnostic receives with users benefitting from increased workshop productivity and enhanced customer satisfaction as a result of faster key-to-key times.

And with the rapid growth of ADAS showing no signs of slowing, Core Diagnostics has recently made a number of high-profile appointments to strengthen its expertise in this area, the latest being Neil Hilton, who joined the Core Diagnostics management team in April, taking up the post of Technical Sales Director.

Neil joins Core Diagnostics from HELLA where he spent over thirteen years as Head of Garage Equipment, a role in which he was instrumental in launching the Hella Gutmann brand within the UK and for its rapid ascendence to become one of the leading suppliers of diagnostic and ADAS calibration tools.

In addition to driving sales and marketing for Hella Gutmann, Neil also consulted on new product development and established a reputation as an ADAS “expert”. So much so that in 2018 Neil took up a position on Thatcham Research’s ADAS steering group where he was heavily involved in the development of the Insurance Industry Requirements for the safe repair of ADAS equipped vehicles (IIR) introduced in 2021.

In his new role as Technical Sales Director at Core Diagnostics, Neil is keenly focused on further accelerating the brand’s growth as it seeks to become the market leader in remote diagnostics.

Commenting on his new position Neil says “With vehicle systems being ever-more sophisticated, ADAS calibration and coding and programming of new parts can be challenging at the best of times. In recent years we’ve seen remote diagnostics become an increasingly valuable workshop tool and I’m in no doubt that it’s the future.

Core Diagnostics were among the first to recognise this and their unrivalled investment in systems and expertise has put them at the spearhead of this new technology. I’m excited to join the team and look forward to helping to make Core Diagnostics the number one brand in remote support.”

Mark Fleming, CEO of Core Diagnostics comments: “I’m proud of the reputation that Core Diagnostics has already established in the market and as we look to scale the business, I’m delighted that someone so knowledgeable about ADAS and highly-respected as Neil not only sees the potential for remote diagnostics, but shares our vision for the future and is excited to be part of this journey.”
