Core Diagnostics a founding member of the new European Remote Service Supplier Community
Core Diagnostics is one of the leading industry providers who have jointly founded the Remote Service Supplier (RSS) Community, a new Brussels-based initiative launched on 14 July 2026 to represent the companies delivering remote diagnostics, programming, coding, ADAS calibration and technical support to workshops across Europe.
Core Diagnostics will work alongside Clever Diagnostix, DAF Conseil, Grup Eina, Herth+Buss Mobility Solutions, Jifeline Remote Diagnostics, Repairify and Saint-Gobain – representing national, regional and pan-European remote diagnostics operations. It is hosted by FIGIEFA, the European Federation representing independent automotive parts distributors, which will provide secretariat services, regulatory expertise and legislative monitoring.
Why a Remote Service Supplier Community, and why now
Vehicles are getting harder to repair. Manufacturer-specific procedures are multiplying, more repair operations depend on software rather than spanners, and the technician shortage shows no sign of easing. For bodyshops, crash repair centres and glass replacement networks, that combination puts real pressure on turnaround times and margins.
Remote Service Suppliers exist to close that gap – providing on-demand access to AOM230-qualified specialists who can code new parts, complete remote diagnostics programming, and verify ADAS calibrations, without every workshop needing that expertise in-house. It's a model Core Diagnostics has built its business around, and one we believe is only going to matter more as vehicles become more connected and software-defined.
The issues the Community exists to address
None of this works without fair, reliable access to the repair and maintenance information, diagnostic tools, software functions and vehicle systems that remote services depend on. Right now, that access is inconsistent. Members of the Community have flagged unequal access conditions between manufacturers, fees that aren't transparent, requirements that differ from one brand to the next, and existing legislation that isn't consistently enforced.
These aren't abstract policy points – they translate directly into delays and added cost for the workshops we support. The Community's role is to put that case to EU institutions and industry stakeholders directly, arguing for a policy framework that keeps remote services accessible, transparent and workable for providers and workshops alike.
Core Diagnostics' role
As a UK-based remote diagnostics and ADAS calibration provider supporting bodyshops, glass replacement networks and general workshops across Europe, we see these access challenges first-hand, and we've chosen to help shape the response rather than wait for one. Being a founding member gives Core Diagnostics a direct line into the conversations that will determine how remote services operate across Europe in the years ahead – and a say in making sure the framework that emerges works for the workshops that rely on us.
We'll share more as the Community's work develops. In the meantime, if you want to know more about how Core Diagnostics' remote diagnostics and ADAS calibration services can support your workshop, get in touch with our team.
